A very handsome Louis XV-style writing table with a moving top decorated in black and gold lacquer in the Chinese style, with a fine rocaille ormolu mounting with foliate scrolls. On the tray are two Sèvres porcelain pots with lids, decorated with flowers and enhanced with fine gold. The porcelains are marked under the base in brown and date from the mid-18th century. They were reassembled on the writing desk during the Napoleon III period. You may note a slight crack and minor restorations on the tray. The porcelains are in perfect condition.
