Pair of small porcelain vases with gilded decoration on a deep blue background. They feature a long neck decorated with gilded fillets. Their rounded bellies are painted with garlands of flowers and decorative gold bows. This is a production of the Sèvres factory, whose mark is on the underside, dated 1897 and gilded in 1899.

The Sèvres factory is the world's benchmark for porcelain. Bought by Louis XV in 1756 on the advice of Madame de Pompadour, it produces high-quality pieces that are exported throughout Europe as diplomatic gifts. Various sovereigns commissioned pieces from the factory to demonstrate the richness of French production.
