A pomiform perfume bottle and its ball stopper in opal crystal known as "soapy" opaline. A crown of gold and blue anemones and forget-me-nots decorates the rim of the body. This floral frieze is framed by gold fillets, which also accentuate the neck. The stoppers are decorated with a gold-painted radiating motif. This highly refined decoration was created by the workshop of Jean-Baptiste Desvignes. A second, slightly different bottle is available (see photos). Circa: 1820
Condition report: In good overall condition, with slight wear to the gold.
