Large "ARCO" desk for Olivetti by BBPR
Arco" model desk designed in 1963 by Studio BBPR for Olivetti Arredamenti. BBPR was a partnership set up in Milan in 1932 by architects Gianlugi Banfi, Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso, Enrico Peressutti and Ernesto Nathan Rogers. The metal base can be unscrewed. It supports a writing surface and two pedestals opening to three drawers. The top of this vintage desk is made of Bakelite, a plastic used in the first half of the 20th century for its insulating and heat-resistant properties. Marked under the top and under the legs: "OLIVETTI ARREDAMENTI METALLICI". Numbered 62/182. This vintage-style antique desk with its industrial look is a design classic from the 60's.
We also have a small side desk: find out more here.
