LARGE PAIR OF MARBLE AND GILT BRONZE COLUMNS

Tall pair of columns in pink-gray marble with gilded bronze decorations. The composite capitals (continuation of Doric, Ionic and Corinthian orders) in gilded bronze feature acanthus leaves in relief under scrolls with a finial on each side. These sellettes feature a square turntable. The ringed feet are decorated with a crown of bronze leaves. The columns rest on a cubic base surrounded by a frieze of acanthus leaves, then rectangular on four small feet.
