Beautiful lyre-shaped clock in elm burl veneer and decorated with bronzes in two patinas, brown and gilded. The clock is richly decorated with a chain of gilded bronze foliage and honeysuckle surrounding the dial. The lyre strings are surmounted by the bust of a young woman with musical attributes. The petal-rimmed dial is adorned with alternating roses and daisies, the latter hosting white enamel cartouches indicating the hours in Arabic numerals. The lyre is supported by two leaning griffins in patinated bronze, resting on a base decorated with a bas-relief depicting a reclining Amur watching two birds pecking at each other. The clock is presented on an inlaid rosewood veneer base, decorated with floral motifs, with its globe.
