A pair of candlesticks in Porcelain by Jacob Petit decorated all over with polychrome enamelled flowers on a white background, enhanced with foliage scrolls, acanthus leaves and small pearls painted in gold. They stand on three small leafy feet. The curved shapes inspired by the Rocaille style, the abundant use of gilding and the shimmering polychromy of the decoration are characteristic of the original and fanciful style of Jacob Petit, one of the most famous porcelain makers in Paris in the 19th century.
