A pair of Restauration-period ormolu and patinated candlesticks. The partially patinated and fluted shafts, finely chased with a frieze of palmettes, wreathes of fruit and bunches of grapes in gilt bronze, rest on a circular base decorated with bunches of grapes and busts of men on an amati background. Bracers richly decorated with bunches of grapes and acanthus leaves on an amati background, and bobbins edged with circumscribed palmette friezes.
