Current stock : 0

Two gilt bronze candelabras in the Troubadour style, decorated with figures illustrating courtly love. This is a secret, idealized love reserved for the nobility, and dates back to medieval times. The four arms of light, richly adorned with fluting and foliage, are supported by a knight and a lady, standing on a small leafy pedestal and hexagonal base. The lady is elegantly dressed and holds a wreath of flowers. Flowers were often offered to encourage the chosen one before a tournament. Louis-Philippe period, Circa: 1840 Dim: W:15cm, D:15cm, H:45cm. The two table candlesticks are in very good condition.
