A pair of ormolu candlesticks depicting architectural elements from Gothic cathedrals. The base, with straight or curved sides, rests on six "bougeron"-shaped feet. The first level is reminiscent of Gothic church portals, with all the ornamentation of the period. The second level features pointed and pointed arches, followed by a level of niches decorated with Gothic statues. Finally, the fourth openwork level ends with shapes reminiscent of the gargoyles so common in the architecture of the period. XIX° period, Circa: 1850 Dim: W:17cm, D:17cm, H:75cm.
