Large patinated bronze figure of an ancient warrior. It stands on a sloping terrace, decorated with battle scenes and bearing the dedication: "Les Chasseurs Éclaireurs de Bruxelles à leur Lt Colonel O. Tahon 1870-1910" (Lieutenant-Colonel O. Tahon, commander of the Brussels Chasseurs-Eclaireurs battalion).
Signed: "A. De Wever" for Auguste De Wever (1836-1910), a Belgian artist active in the second half of the 19th century.
