Art Deco white marble sculpture after PUGI. It depicts a nude woman seated in a sensual manner. Her short, curly hair, in the style of the Roaring Twenties, is topped with a headband featuring a crescent moon. This may be a representation of the goddess Diana, whose attribute it is. The figure is set in brown-veined black Portor marble, with Pugi engraved on the base.

Guglielmo Pugi (Fiesole, 1850-1915) Italian sculptor who lived in Florence from 1870 to 1915. He designed the Monument to King Humbert I in the main square of his native Fiesole. Several of his sculptures are on display in the Historical Alabaster Museum in Volterra, Italy.
