VP GLOBE SUSPENSION BY VERNER PANTON & VERPAN
VP Globe is without doubt, Verner Panton's most spectacular lamp. The suspension consists of a transparent acrylic globe containing five white, blue and orange lacquered aluminium reflectors, suspended by metal chains. The whole thing is visible through transparency. The reflectors, whose positioning has been studied at length, diffuse the light emitted by the bulb evenly across the room. Coloured in blue and orange, they play with the warm or cold climate of the room to create a magical atmosphere. The capsule-like structure gives the central element a floating and light appearance, a nod to the space age of the 1960s. The black textile cable and the chrome rosette give a modernist finish to this structure edited by VerPan. Epoque Design, Circa: 2009 Dim: W:40cm, D:40cm, H:40cm.
