What is a tea table?

The tea table is a small flying coffee table with a second top. It is designed to hold the various utensils needed to serve tea, such as cups, saucers, milk jugs and teapots. The tea table, generally octagonal in shape, is decorated with bone or wood marquetry in floral, scroll or geometric motifs.
