A Louis XV period barometer-thermometer in moulded, carved, lacquered and gilded wood. It has a rocaille decoration with stylised foliage. The thermometer in the upper part is annotated with remarks on the temperature displayed, notably the dates when Paris reached low temperatures. The barometer on the lower part is signed "Gorinij Fresse Bozzo" on the dial. The barometer and thermometer are in working order.
