Large centerpiece in biscuit porcelain consisting of a fruit bowl and four planters. The decoration is inspired by Bacchic iconography. The central bowl features two women draped in antique style, circling around the foot. The openwork bowl is decorated with musical instruments, rose garlands and goat heads. The projecting base is decorated with grapevines, garlands and goats' heads in relief. The jardinières - two rectangular and two curved - are topped with allegorical figures representing the four seasons. The rims are decorated with niches and goats' heads. All the pieces in this tableware set are numbered and bear the blue fork mark of the Volkstedt-Rudolstadt factory (Germany, Thuringia). Late 19th century.
