RESTORATION-PERIOD GILDED BRONZE AND MARBLE INKWELL

A gilt bronze and chased inkwell depicting a dolphin supporting a shell, with a glass ink cup, hourglass and concave receptacle inside. The whole rests on a rectangular base in burr wood and gilt bronze, adorned with a flower flanked by palmettes and chased with foliage. A few chips on the rim of the cup. Restoration period, Circa: 1820 Dim: W:10cm, D:13cm, H:14,5cm.
