Large Louis XV style chandelier in chased and gilded bronze, with nine arms of light and eighteen moving lights. The shaft of baluster form is openwork and richly decorated with rocaille, flowers and torn foliage and extends on nine arms of lights formed by scrolls of acanthus leaves. The nozzle carry calyxes in the shape of buds. With its twisted forms and its rich decoration of intertwined foliage and rocaille motifs, this luminary is a fine example of Rococo style pieces made during the reign of Napoleon III.
