IMPORTANT PORCELAIN BISQUE : "THE TRIUMPH OF BEAUTY"

Sold
Current stock : 0

Beautiful group in biscuit of porcelain,"The triumph of the Beauty". It represents the goddess Venus descending from the clouds on her chariot to Nereids bathing embracing swans. Small loves with butterfly wings are holding garlands of flowers from a basket. This is a scene after a model by Simon Louis Boizot for the Sèvres factory. The group rests on an oval base. A signature is visible on the terrace at the back. The biscuit presents an apocryphal mark of Sèvres underneath, it is probably a work of the Manufacture de Samson. The delicate work of the porcelain flowers and the subtlety of the decoration in the round make this a very nice piece to add to your collection.
