Porcelain planter with polychrome and gold decoration, and chased and gilded bronze mount. It is decorated with cartridges with gold frames decorated with a gallant couple on one side, and a bird on a branch, on the other side. The interior is decorated with a garland around the basin with, in the center, a bouquet of flowers. Below the bowl, a young man playing the horn to a woman, in the shade of a tree. Both figures are depicted naked, girded with draperies and wearing laurel wreaths. The branches of the tree extend over the sides of the bowl and form the handles. The latter are animated by putti ending in foliage. The whole rests on a base with springs and six leafy feet.

Condition report: this planter is in good condition. The porcelain is in very good condition. The gilding is in good original condition with some minor wear to the inside of the medallions. The bronze frame has some visible micro cracks at the border.
