Polychrome fine porcelain clock surmounted by a bacchante and a faun sitting under a cup and holding a garland of flowers. Shimmering decoration of bouquets of flowers, scrolls and foliage on a blue and white background with gold highlights. Two small tritons are seated at the corners and hold, each, a basket of flowers. The clock rests on a counter base richly decorated with foliage and crosses. This piece is reminiscent of Jacob Petit's whimsical style, with its abundance of rocaille flowers and foliage, the contrast of bright colors and the delicate and meticulous work of detail. The movement of this period clock has been completely overhauled and is in working condition.
