A Boulle inlaid brass on red tortoiseshell middle table with rich gilded bronze ornamentation. The top is encircled by a baguette finely chased with alternating ovals and foliage. The table is decorated with satyrs' heads in the center of the crosspieces on the long sides, and Maenads' heads on those of the short sides. It stands on four curved legs adorned with espagnolettes, a decorative motif typical of the Regency and Louis XV periods, and terminating in sabots. The top is protected by a glass top. Napoleon III period, Circa: 1860 Dim: W:147cm, D:90cm, H:73cm. In very good condition.
