Brown patina bronze sculpture by Charles-Alphonse Gumery, depicting a smiling young woman holding two doves. She is shown naked, wearing a drapery supported by a shoulder strap. This bronze statuette is signed "Gumery ROME".
Charles Gumery most probably created this bronze during his stay at the Villa Medici in Rome.

Condition report: the bronze is in very good condition, with a beautiful patina with golden highlights. Traces of assembly on the right arm, the result of the sculpting technique used: lost-wax casting. With this process, the various elements of a statue (arms, legs, torso, etc.) are cast separately and then assembled.
